Corrida Nebososa Review

Today I will be reviewing a racing game by Flavio Zavan (Nebososo) This game has the distinction of being the first Uzebox racing game, and being from 2010 it holds it's own versus recent titles in all categories. Without further rambling, let us take a look.

Graphics

3.5 stars The graphics overall could be considered a bit simple. There are no particular glaring problems and what is there all ties together well. At first glance I might give the graphics a 3 and consider it about average, but after playing it for a while I kind of warmed up to it. The very big boost here is that everything is original. I believe it is all handmade by Flavio, and even if it wasn't, it feels like a very unique little world. It has a very different tone to it all and to me, that counts for a lot.

Sound

3.5 stars The music is well done and there are 4 tracks. I have no idea what the music is from or if it's an original composition but it fits in well with the whole game. The music is the stronger point while the sound effects, while not bad, are at times fairly harsh and lack some variety.

Gameplay

3.75 stars The car mechanics are very simple which is my main detraction on the score. However, it is still a skillful game and there are lots of gameplay options versus the cpu or another person. You can also play on a variety of tracks, and even play them in reverse! Adding to the replay value you can easily make some very twisted tracks and save them to eeprom. It becomes obvious that, like the rest of the game, a lot of time and thought was put into features and it's really the strong suit here.

Entertainment

3.75 stars It's one of the funnest Uzebox games and also one of the best multiplayer titles the system has to offer.

Overall

3.75 stars Overall I like the game and have spent more time on it than most others. The game is a good option to play with a friend, and it's just a fun little game. There is a nice manual that covers everything, and overall it feels very complete having lots of options and features. If you are playing Uzebox with a friend this is a must play.
