Perhaps that black is a bit dull. What about adding some good ol' 80's retro stripes? Good or not?

What about the L and R buttons? Yes, those stripes really help!

I totally agree the stripes are better and the L/R buttons should be there. The design overall is really retro-cool but still it's own original take on it.

Thanks guys for the feedback! But...but who uses the shoulded button??? ;) Those will be hard to make!

Update: Enclosures printing are progressing steadily.

Just put them on the back about where the middle finger rests. That is how I have seen others overcome that issue. The look is very classic but I prefer the comfort of a Sega Saturn 6 button over most.

So, turn the header around and upside down, right? What do you mean by solder on a ribbon cable? Or was that a type-o?
So here's what I meant with the cable thing...

This solution appears to be perfect! And I don't need to de-re-solder the ISP header. Just my b00000010 cents.

I would have preferred the isp accessed at the back like the other connectors. But for this iteration of the pcb, it will do the job in a way I like. :)

Well well well, just look at what the mailman brought in today! Uzebox logos made of 3D printed metal!! Thanks Shapeways!
Image
The top one is made of stainless steel (cost me ~12$USD). It's a nice material with a grainy feel that I like a lot even if the print lines are quite obvious. The second one is gold plated brass and is just smooth and perfect (~55$USD). From what I understood, this one is actually made using a 3D printed high resolution wax mold and then cast using traditional techniques. Can't describe how awesome it is to have those one of a kind designs in my hands for such a low price! I'll make the design public on shapeways shortly.

And yes, it fits the new enclosure...nerdgasm!
