FunKey S- the world's smallest foldable retro-gaming console

Post by danboid »

The FunKey S is the world's smallest foldable retro-gaming console.

Open source hardware, ARM (Allwinner v3s) based, runs a custom, open source Linux based OS. It can play up to PSX spec via emus etc and can be bought pre-built for $65. It will be SMD of course so you won't be able to build one at home unfortunately unlike the Uzebox portable. It's 1.2 Ghz so there's a chance it will be able to handle cuzebox at full speed.

It's actually faster to build SMD at home, since you can solder all of the components at the same time, and you don't need to use a soldering iron. I much prefer SMD over through hole components.

Looks cool.
