Starduino

Post by rv6502 »

Finally got around to finish the port and do the release :D

The package: https://rv6502.ca/packages/starduino/St ... -08-03.zip

After 3 years of various delays, it's out.
The emulator is still frowning at my timing but it passes
I might come back to it later but for now I want to move to another project, one that is better suited for the Uzebox.

Awsome.

Three years is pretty good. At least two times faster than I manage to release anything.

Great to see this finally get finished and released Stephane - very impressive! It plays nicely under cuzebox. This has raised the bar for what can be achieved on our fave open source console. Might you consider releasing the source code too?

Equally impressive and arriving the same week is The Red Serpent Invasion, a Wolfenstein clone that runs on regular, unexpanded C64s

Uze:

I hope you'll agree that Starduino deserves a mention on the Uzebox homepage.

I told Indie Retro News about Starduino but they've not covered it yet.

Sorry for the late reply...this is totally amazing!! And +1 for the box art! I will definitely add all news games and demos to the home page, news and twitter. Stay tuned.

Edit: Btw, I've created a base page for the game in the wiki if you want to add more info.

Good to see uze has updated the UB home page with Starduino in both the news section and as the top featured game.

Dunno if you've already read my brief write up of my recent visit to the Kickstart 01 Amiga show in the UK but I took my Uzebox along and Starduino was used as my main showpiece. Can you do that on a NES? Nope! The Amigans were impressed!

Do you plan to release the source too? It'd be great for educational porpoises.

Thanks for taking the Uzebox to the next level Stephane!

Wow! A StarFox-like game on Uzebox? You even have an easy way to change the view within the game. Great work!
