AVR console with vector display!

Post by Jubatian »

This is something absolutely awesome, and even quite on-topic!

An ATMega128, most notably producing a vector display on an oscilloscope! But the audio solution seems to be pretty neat as well, with a bit more elaborate hardware involved than on the Uzebox :)

Could be a nice project for the more hardware savvy who happen to have an analog o-scope laying about!

This is amazing! I especially liked the idea of the cartridge slot. That bootloader seems to work similarly to Uzebox too.

I actually really like the idea of a cartridge slot since it allows for a central way to add additional support hardware (like the SuperFx chip.)

Sure! It actually passed me whether I could emulate it. I somehow like the vector display, to use the CRT that way, and it would also be fun to try to mimic it in a compelling manner (I experimented with such graphics routines in the past).
