Top is a nice looking shaded "2000" that Alec/Uze did for me using the Uzebox palette. Middle is the tiles I started to try work on to meet the 3 colour per line and it kinda didn't look nice as I was going along. Shade2000.png The limitation is that the video mode is 2Bpp and can only have 4 colour...

Nice work.

One suggestion if you ever do another spin would be that C7 is a bit lonely.

I would add extra 100n close to the other VCC pins.

Still very slowly working on T2K and then will knock out SuperHexagon. GGVicViper has made me want to make an interpretation of Gyruss as well though. Nice work. Obviously I saw a lot if it during development, but still congrats are in order for getting across the line and finishing it.

It is an outstandingly polished game in terms of UI and general feel.

Just tried it on Win7 and SDL2.dll 2.0.12 32bit and it works fine.

I had previously had sound issues but I don't have records to tell you what version of SDL2.dll I had at that time.

The circle means the same as the solid line above the word "reset"

It means that pin is inverted logic (active low)

For safety you should always have a 10K resistor pulling reset to VCC. This is unless you know for sure there is some reason not too.

I think defender could be pretty well done in a video mode that was 2BPP and had 128 ram tiles and 128 rom tiles. That should be able to be done at 256/288 pixels wide. 4 colours would be less than the arcade original 16 colours. 256 pixels wide less that arcades 320. However there should be plenty ...
