Re: Hyperkin SNES mouse issues

Here's what I get after running mouse-timer for about 20 minutes on an Omega using a MCP1702 voltage regulator (I'm sure) with the mouse plugged into port 1.

Re: Hyperkin SNES mouse issues

It seems you do have to swap the mouse into port 1 or else the data never appears. After swapping the mouse into port 1, it will then also work in port 2 but that seems a bit pointless.

Re: Hyperkin SNES mouse issues

Whoops, use this one instead which has the fix if you bump it briefly(it only screws up 1 sample/second which will fix itself) mouse-timer.zip So I took the previous posted table values, but it seems like I couldn't move my mouse with them? But it doesn't glitch? Ugh, well if your Uzebox isn't doin...

Re: Hyperkin SNES mouse issues

I mean to the cycle on efficiency, so even voltage regulator differences might be a factor? Then test again on SNES mouse, and if it's close or less than original cycles, works on all test cases, I can't see the argument against it. I just dont want to do loose timing and leave free cycles left on ...

Re: Uzebox Bootloader V5

As a half assed hypothetical, instead of full mouse support, what if Mouse Left Button started the game(0 bytes to implement?), and Right Button acted the same as BTN_DOWN. For a few bytes perhaps holding down Right Button could do an auto repeat so you could rapidly cycle through games with a loop...

Next time I update the Omega BOM files, I'll be removing the link to the AliExpress clone SNES pads and I'll add Farnell product code 3780477 as an alternate LED for those who would like a brighter LED and don't mind paying a little more for it. https://uk.farnell.com/multicomp-pro/mp007986/led-supe...

Jubatian:

If you DM me your address I can send you my Hyperkin mouse, if you think adding mouse support to the bootloader is doable? I'm presuming you don't already have one?
