Re: Lightgun Ideas
I just re-read the comments and you did see that topic at the time so you must've forgot I'd posted it. Well it wasn't in mind, then I saw that awesome looking lightgun. Emotion took over for a minute  But this is ideal for sure(though now I'm still curious about the IR solution). I'm wonderi...

Re: Lightgun Ideas
Also I have way too much time into this and I need to slay it, so it doesn't keep popping into my mind. I can't promise it will work, I'm a bit of a hack sometimes I confess, but damnit I'm going for it: really-secret-game.png Yes there is a secret lightgun game which is likely impossible to identif...

Re: Lightgun Ideas
Huh I'm under/overthinking actually. Technically(I think) the same gun that works on Uzebox could work in emulation. There is an Arduino project which turns an SNES pad into a USB device! And the lightgun is basically just a joypad. And when I say backwards compatible, I literally mean it's a joypad...

Re: Hyperkin SNES mouse issues
Is it stuck on the intro or did it make it to the binary display? Once it gets to the binary display the only visible changes on screen will be the numbers. If it doesn't make it to that, try the previous version which has looser timing(just give it power after you set the mouse in a secure location)

Working on a lightgun game, lets say it uses 1bit ADPCM so I again looked at the feasibility. Well I considered instead 4 bit DPCM...long story short I yet again got temporarily fascinated with the question "what stops us from using the Uzebox as a telephone?". I suspect nothing(except tha...

Re: Clone SNES joypad compatibility
Honestly this could appeal to NTSC regions users quite a lot. Ok after I test the new one I got, I'll take it apart and post PCB picture if you want to do the same. I sort of suspect they are all the same...then I wonder how much circuitry is actually in there besides the connectors. Maybe there wou...

Re: Lightgun Ideas
Ok I'm in too deep to abandon the lightgun, and there is an active simple lightgun game in development right now. Emulation supports it already and I will build the physical hardware. But on the Wiimote it's interesting...which got me thinking...Wiimote is good, but I want a nice recoil solenoid so ...

The seller's reputation doesn't look excellent, but I'd gamble on a batch if they work well. Wouldn't make sense for some users, but at least US anyone who wanted an Omega I'd send them one at shipping cost. discount-scart.jpg But I wasn't logged in, that looks like some "new users" deal.....
