Re: Convert .uze to .hex
I'm pretty sure avrdude can autodetect the input format, so it should be able to flash .bin files using your AVR programmer. Now you just need to generate a .bin file from a .uze file. My first thought was to do this the lazy way. This assumes your uzebox directory is in ~/ and that your cuzebox dir...
Re: UART test
Have you got a USB serial adapter Artcfox? I don't think I have any that are 5V. I haven't messed with the UART on the Uzebox at all. After I opened my case to take photos of the board for your soldering thread, I re-applied glue in the stripped screw holes. I had glued it like that before, but my ...

Re: Mode 3 Scrolling Game Engine Demo (WIP)
I'm either terrible at timing, or those nefarious bugs are really deadly and I have to start over! I tried 7 times and I couldn't beat level 1... so close, but fell into a bug. I got to say is game looks great and is extremely smooth to play using cuzebox. The 'some where over the rainbow' so...

Re: Mode 3 Scrolling Game Engine Demo (WIP)
I haven't posted an update in a while, but I've still been making improvements. Since my last post, I have: Reduced RAM usage (and the uzem crash) by converting my RAM tile striping code to use maths, rather than a RAM-based LUT. Added an optional stack painter/counter as a debug option, so I can se...

Re: Foal of un1b0x
Excellent! I am glad he was able to identify the problem, and get it resolved. :geek: Since I am paranoid, after soldering the SD socket (before powering it on!), I would check for continuity between all of the SD card pins and where they are supposed to be connected to, and make sure there is not c...

Re: Proposed enhancement to Uzebox Kernel
No problem! It looks like ClearVsyncCounter and GetVsyncCounter were added during the creation of Video Mode 13 in the following commit: commit 76790238c0aed587cd39f81bcd77e93ec89fce41 Author: uze@belogic.com <uze@belogic.com@c007265c-c25a-11dd-ae62-6dab0a2b1684> Date: Sat Feb 7 04:17:29 2015 +0000 ...

Re: Warrior - 1979 vectorbeam game
The background does not need to be lines/vectors. It can be any arbitrary bitmap. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-w0N7p5DayI OMG! I don't think I had seen that demo before! Wowza! That looks amazing. I wonder if it would be possible to do something like Limbo with a fancy background that chang...

Re: Proposed enhancement to Uzebox Kernel
This is now in master along with a compiler warning fix. I also added API documentation for SetVsyncCounter , and the missing API documentation for the pre-existing ClearVsyncCounter and GetVsyncCounter functions to the wiki. If anyone knows when those API functions had been added, the version numbe...

Re: Foal of un1b0x
That looks pretty good. Hopefully you get the joints all cleaned up. Definitely use the alcohol to clean off the used flux and brown residue first and then again after.
