Re: M74 questions

I've given m74_4bpp_tilegen.py a quick test but it hasn't worked for me. I ran: $ python m74_4bpp_tilegen.py tileset.png tileset.c Using the attached png file ( tileset.png ) and this is what it output: /* 4bpp tile / spriteset data (2 tiles of 32 bytes each) */ const unsigned char imgdata[] __attri...

Re: Uzebox Ω - easier to build, SCART friendly Uzebox

I'm not sure whats happened to Thorsten. I've sent him several emails over the last couple of weeks but I've not heard anything back in two weeks from him now so I hope he's OK? I emailed him yesterday to check he's alright and I suggested that if he doesn't have the time to make the tweaks I have r...

Re: M74 questions

Thanks Jubatian no need for host C compiler and being able to run compiled binaries, easier to put together a Python script than something in C/C++ working with .png images), however the Uzebox repository doesn't have Python in it. Nearly all Linux users will have gcc and/or clang installed but I su...

Re: Uzebox 3D printed enclosure!

I printed Uzebox_cover_75micron_tolerance.3mf today and again its too narrow for the logo to fit. It will be next week now before I get to test Uzebox_cover_100micron_tolerance.3mf

What did you say is the tolerance of the cover thats in the repo, 150 micron?

Curious Video Game Machines

Rare, weird, wonderful and curious computers is the topic for our talk today. Recorded in front of a live audience at The Cave, Lewis Packwood takes us on a "choose your own adventure" journey through the lesser known world of video game machines. Spoler alert: No Uzeboxes were promoted o...

Re: Final Fight Enhanced

In closely related news: ...Because the Mega Drive developer Mauro Xavier is currently working on something he calls Mega Final Fight, which is precisely just that, a Mega Drive version of this classic beat 'em up. And now it seems like he might get Capcom's blessing, thus making it an official vers...

Re: DIY Uzebox / SNES arcade joystick

I have ordered some silk copper filament that will fit our Ultimaker S5 so that I can print the modfied stick .stl file I posted a couple of weeks ago in a colour that will match my upcoming Uzebox case. The filament is being shipped from the US so I might not get it until April 9th or so. https://w...

Re: Uzebox 3D printed enclosure!

Today I printed Uzebox_cover_50micron_tolerance.3mf but it was slightly too narrow to fit either of the two Uzebox logos I printed to test it with. I printed the cover the right way up for the best, most accurate results my printer can muster. I'll try printing Uzebox_cover_100micron_tolerance.3mf o...

Re: WIP: Uze-A-Move

Great to see you back on the forum cosam- I love your avatar! It's seems DA has gone on an alternate Uzebox controller implementation bender so he might not get back to Uze-A-Move until we can plug almost anything into the Uzebox. When I say almost anything that would be SNES mice, N64 controllers a...
