Re: Clone SNES joypad compatibility
It seems Adafruit are our last hope for Uzebox compatible clone SNES controllers. The only UK Adafruit distributor I could find that sold the SNES pads was Mouser: https://mou.sr/4aOf2kR ... I just checked the Mouser link again and they are getting more stock in, it says "8 Can Dispatch in 20 ...

Re: DIY Uzebox / SNES arcade joystick
I just about had enough filament with 1 Kg to print two complete Uzesticks. I was hoping I might get to print half of a Uzebox case too but no such luck. Today I mailed my first attempt at printing a silk copper arcade stick case to Lee. It will be interesting to see if he manages to improve on how ...

Re: Clone SNES joypad compatibility
I still haven't learned assembly yet to be able to do a comparison between the two.
DA and Jubatian will be able to give you a better answer to that than me.

Re: Uzebox Ω - easier to build, SCART friendly Uzebox
My HDmatters SCART to HDMI converter arrived today and I'm happy to report that it works fine with the Omega when using either a CSYNC or a CVBS cable. I've not opened it up but I'm pretty certain it is pretty much exactly the same chipset as my LiNKFOR converter but without SPDIF - the UI and onscr...

Re: Is Uzebox the most elite console platform?
There isn't a fully open source platform that has an active community apart from the Uzebox that I can think of. Every other platform has some small key part that isn't open source, like the firmware for GPUs in the case of Linux.

Re: How many Uzeboxes have you built?
Made hundreds of kits but only fully assembled perhaps two dozens over the years (including the portable and pc versions). Now that I think about it, I really need to take a "family picture" of all the models made. Prototype, Fuzebox, Avcore, Uzeboxes, Uzebox JAMMA, CF's, portable...quite ...

Re: Uzebox 3D printed enclosure!
That's a good reason to stick with the current cover as default.
It's cool that we have a alternate version of the case for those who fancy being able to swap out the logo.

Re: Clone SNES joypad compatibility
What bugs me is that all the Uzebox roms out there are compiled against the fast controllers. Since we can't recompile all the roms ever made, there's going to be a mish-mash of some roms out there working and some not causing confusion and frustration. Its not ideal but at least there are only a f...
