Re: Uzebox Ω - easier to build, SCART friendly Uzebox

Slawek has started to build his Omega, he sent me this pic of his progress today: Slaweks-Omega.jpg Will Slawek beat DA to having a fully working Omega after DA's multi-month head start? Slawek has the advantage of having a SCART TV, no doubt, so he has got the TV standards gods on his side. SCART s...

Re: Official Uzebox Bill of Material (Oct 2023)

The first post in this topic as well as the Uzebox BOM both link to this controller which is no longer available: https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/32819725298.html Every clone controller I've bought off AliExpress hasn't worked properly with my Uzeboxes. I'd recommend that next time you update the BOM...

Re: Uzebox Ω - easier to build, SCART friendly Uzebox

I've just posted this to the clone SNES pads topic but I want to post it here too. I can confirm that the adafruit clone SNES controllers are fully Uzebox (Omega) compatible. They may look the same as the Amazon and AliExpress controllers but the dpad and buttons have a much better feel to me. I mig...

I can confirm that the adafruit clone SNES controllers are fully Uzebox (Omega) compatible. They may look the same as the Amazon and AliExpress controllers but the dpad and buttons have a much better feel to me. I might even prefer the Adafruit SNES controller to my genuine Nintendo one? It does fee...

Re: Uzebox 3D printed enclosure!

After having printed no less than nine Uzebox covers, each taking 5 hours to print, I have found Cover_25u_clear.3mf offers the right tolerance to have the repo logo clip in without having to use force and it is held in tightly enough that it doesn't fall out without it being pulled out. Success! Uz...

Re: Uzebox Ω - easier to build, SCART friendly Uzebox

I have made another minor update to the BOM files as an availability fix but its also made the BOM a few pounds cheaper as a result. I swapped the 806 Ohm resistor 1751433 with the much cheaper and much more plentiful 9470204 and I replaced the link to the clone SNES pads on AliExpress with a link t...

Re: Uzebox Bootloader V5

Jubatian has replied to my email:
The Bootloader has 2 bytes free, that's a single AVR instruction. If a need for some simple bugfix arises, that might be possible to be juggled in, but that's all!

Re: DIY Uzebox / SNES arcade joystick

I've updated the first post to add: 4 X 25 mm length flat head screws The Thingiverse Details page for this stick recommends M4 12 mm screws but they seem to be too small to be of any real use so I used 25 mm long flat head screws to screw the base in place. I screwed one of these 25 mm screws into ...

Re: Hyperkin SNES mouse issues

I broke out all timing so that it can optionally be overriden in the makefile on a per element basis. I'm going to go with what I think are reasonably safe timings for Hyperkin as defaults, and later on it might be discovered how to save few more cycles. You didn't say much about the results I post...
