Uzebox Schematics Revision E1 Released

A long due update of the reference design and parts lists has been completed today. The most notables changes are the replacement of the video DAC with the AVCore weighted model and the removal of the obsolete MIDI IN interface (nobody ever used that right?). Adrastos is back with his new game Ruby Crush, a clone of the popular Bejeweled. The goal is to get at least 3 gems of the same type in a horizontal or vertical row. It is currently single player, with two modes: Classic and Timed. Get the HEX here and the game’s Wiki entry is here!

Paul McPhee has done it again! He just released his latest arcade classic, Donkey Kong. All four levels are in there, with the intro, cut scenes, music and sound effects! An impressive conversion that shows what can be done with Uzebox! The game can be downloaded here, the wiki page is here and the sources are available here.

Paul McPhee just relased emuze, a Uzebox rom which manage the EEPROM’s  save game blocks. It allows you to copy/paste/delete/edit blocks and automatically display animated graphic icons per game ID. There’s also a page that display the Uzebox kernel settings. Download it here and The sources are here.

Adrastos released his first uzebox creation, a 2 player implementation of Pentago, a Swedish strategy board game. According to him, there’s still a couple of improvement yet to be made (like sound & music) but it’s fully playable. Download it here. The game’s Wiki page is here.
