TV screen refresh in slow motion

That's interesting. Looks like they've somehow modified the monitor to drastically slow the refresh rate, rather than record a normal refresh at 10K FPS and then play it back in slow-motion. At least that's my interpretation, given how the image fades away 3 or 4 lines after each line is drawn.

Not sure...

I'm not sure how long the phosphor holds onto the "pixels" and whether actual images are only perceived due to delays in the eye rather than the TV set; I couldn't imagine the phosphor holding onto the entire image and then letting go just before the next one is about to appear but this seems too slow.

Also capturing at that speed would reduce the amount of light that is able to be captured so maybe if you brightened the video you can see more of the picture.
