I'm back

Post by Kilo » Fri Nov 14, 2014 9:25 am

I'm back again...
had to work a lot in the past but now I'm back and I hope to get more time with working on the uzebox!
It's amazing how great the new games are! fantastic work and congrats to the challenge winners!

btw, bad news: I've worked on a football manager and oil imperium and many more games...
I stored them all on my USB stick and now: guess what happened? The stick doesn't work anymore!
All sources, pictures, code, of all my games, also das boot and submarine, are gone! :?

But I hope I can start from the beginning...

I remember once that I recovered the data from a 4 gig flash drive. I found that if I held my thumb over the pcb in a certain way that the computer would read the drive still. So I used an extension cable and held the flash drive funny for about 30 minutes while the files copied. Capacitance I imagine.

Don't give up!

Same for me, I think bent the plug a bit and it stopped working. I removed the enclosure and while plugged in I fiddled with the PCB, at certain positions it would start working again. Bad contact I assume.
