Thank you Uze,

I downloaded and try the controller tester tool HEX.

It' works completely. But the Gameloader.hex doesn't work.

Do my Uzebox need the game pad control driver?

Hi Uze,

I foregot to tell you about one more thing.
At the try to the controller tester tool HEX, I connected the game pad to each port.
The Port2 was worked. However the Port 1 could not check in this case.
( I don't know why only Port1 could not check)
Is this case the Hardware trouble?

Thank you,

Aaah, now we're getting at it. Indeed there's seems to be some hardware issue in that case. That's pretty much the first time I heard issues with the AVCore though. If you would have a oscilloscope we could see what exactly is going on. If you still can, I would return it to Sparkfun for an exchange. In the contrary, all is not lost. It's possible to recompile most games & bootloader to use P2 as the main input. Naturally you won't be able to play 2 players game though.

Hi,

Thank you Uze. I appreciate your advice.

However, I don't know how to start the game from the Port2 with the SD Card.
( I tried to start the game from the Port2. But I could not start it )

In this case, is it the best way for me, if I return the AVCore to Sparkfun for an exchange ?

You can't, P2 port is not read in the bootloader. And even if you could, all games uses P1 port as the main port.

If they accept to take it back, then yes. Check how to return stuff here: http://www.sparkfun.com/static/37

In the mean time, attached is a bootloader version recompiled to use P2 port. Hopefully you'll have a little something that works! :)

Hi Uze,

Thank you for help me about the UZEBox trouble.
I have bought the new UZEBox from the Sparkfun.

The new one is no problem.
So, I found the trouble come from the AVRCore.

I am going to return the old one to the the Sparkfun.

My trouble is completely finish at the moment.
I appreciate for the trouble solution again.

And may the force be with you always.

the main menu has display errors.
i have ver 0.4.2 and the names of some games are writted up direct in the line "bootloader ver 0.4.2"or near the"page 1/2".
In the place that shoul be writted that names is a blank space.
The games are working but the menu is distorsionate even i reset the console.
the card was formated and this happend especially when i have 2 pages with games, if i have 1 page is more stable

Weird. Can you post a picture of the problem? If you have an ISP programmer I recommend you reflash the bootloader.
