Have you guys seen the MyCPU? It's an 8 bit CPU that, except for stuff like Ram, EEPROM, etc., is made completely out of logic gates! The website is even being hosted by it.

It can run up to 8 MHZ if using high speed logic gates. It uses a backplane with different cards/modules. For example the CPU is on one and there is an interrupt controller on another. I think it's pretty cool.

It seems to be some 6502 knock-off by the way based on the information on the site, not a bad choice actually, this way it was likely much simpler to get a software library for it reasonably fast!
