Uzesweeper

Postby D3thAdd3r » Mon Jan 17, 2011 4:36 am

What every one has been long waiting for; a critical achievment in the history of man-at last you can finally play a game of Minesweeper on the Uzebox  I'm releasing what I'd like to consider a final version of Uzesweeper(unless glaring bugs are uncovered or needed features requested). I had originally intended to support both joypad and SNES mouse, but mostly laziness(and don't know how) I have only added support for the joypad. Seems to work well, though I would like feedback if this would be a useful enough feature for me to bother figuring out. Check out the wiki entry if you are interested, hope you enjoy!

Pure joy! Not only a great Minesweeper, but with a catchy in-game music...hehe pure D3thAdd3r stuff here!

Well, I may have uncovered a bug or...hidden feature? That start button at the main menu yields some colorful surprise! I love that menu in any case, so simple yet to the point. You the man! :D

Ps: Was the main theme a left over of your Sokoban World port? In any case it rocks!

This game feels really polished. The music fits nicely and the little smiley guy has a lot of character :) Also, the title screen is minimalist and clever. Apart from what Uze mentioned, I did not run into any problems. The game also scales nicely to the different playfield sizes.

Just a really nice job overall, Lee!

As usual, bug ;) Remnants of old code, new version has this fixed.

Thanks! Yeah, the music is from Sokoban World. A lot of work went into that music(more than this whole game probably), seemed to fit well, so I got some more use out of it :)

Thanks for the encouragement! Was really nice to take on a simpler project and finish it quickly in a polished state. Think I have another simple game I might try before getting back to Lolo, time will tell I guess.
