Well it's still being made, (and it's still secret) but I have to show some shots...so here:

Hi guys. Im making checklist of what still needs to be done for voidfighter.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Fix Boss Fight Code (I broke it to fix other things) Fixed.
  • Make the boss fighter harder (It's still not impossible  ) 60% done
  • Revamp ALL Graphics 10% done
  • All Sound
  • 2 Player duel mode

I think thats it. :P

Hey Jhysaun, any progress on Void Fighter? There's rumors some others are interested in making some shooter too... ;)

I was wondering this myself as well. I always loved the classic shooters, Life Force, Gradius, R-Type, etc. (PS, Favorite of all time is Lords of Thunder on the TG-16.)

Any progress Jhyasun?

PS - Before you ask about Fliptris, Uze. Yes, I've made lots of progress. Renamed to Medieval Melee, with a thin plot and some rudimentary AI. Just working on the graphics now. Then...sound, and a beta. My tentative plan is to get it done before X-mas.

Hey Jhysaun, any progress on Void Fighter?

Well I decided the old code was to crappy to manage, so I've been recoding it. I now have 64 virtual sprites ( :D ), and you can move on both axises. But, there's still alot of work to do.

There's rumors some others are interested in making some shooter too...

Im not quite sure how im stopping them...

Cool, I look forward to it.

Do you mean 64 "virtual sprites" on screen at once?

Im not quite sure how im stopping them...

No, mate, you're not stopping anyone (rumor has it that I want to make a space shooter). I just didn't want to dampen your motivation by releasing my shooter before Void Fighter. But I guess it's not like two people making Pac-Man at the same time - it's the same genre, but no doubt very different games. Anyway, I have another project I'm working on before, so it will be a while off yet.

No... I mean there are 32 sprites on screen, and they flicker like crazy. It's not that hard to do, but it changes the game play a lot.

I've also done some experimenting with making movies in GIMP. With the GAP installed, you can make some really nice animations
