Lets make "Uze" mascot contest here.

It will be good for project identity plus retro game like MARIO or SONIC too...

Name can be for example crocodile "CrocoUze"

Not to play the party pooper, I'm not really into this mascots thing. I'd rather concentrate in a cool and distinctive logo. Right now I have my "Z" icon shown when you turn on the console. But it could be better and more original.

That said, you could always have an iconic character like Mario. But for that you'll have to write a unique game... ;)

I will try to do some Z logos but mascot is not bad idea.
When somebody see TUX everybody knows that is LINUX mascot or logo...

Awwww... Party pooper! ;-)

When I see Uze's name I keep mentally thinking "ooze-ah" as pronunciation, so I would probably have to make a game called "The Ooze" where you're a blob of goo that has to absorb people without getting frozen all the while getting bigger.

okok, it was just my 2 cents!

Uze is supposed to sound like "use" or "yooz", depends on your mother tongue I guess. Now, if you guys picture me as a pile of goo, I guess It's time I change my nickname.... and the Uzebox name too...

Ahh, it's 'merican pronunciation! Whenever I run across AVR stuff and there's a name I don't recognize I immediately try to use some hack scandanavian pronunciation since everyone's named "Ulf", "Ingar", "Alf", "Vegard", etc. ;-)

No offense intended. Just mess'n with you. :D
