In fact there is already a wiki page for samples: http://uzebox.org/wiki/index.php?title= ... nd_Effects. I could indeed be improved, perhaps with a small mp3 sample next to each effects. I don't want to hijack the thread so we can open another topic for that.

Great work, Jim! It's always good when new folks come along and renew the energy levels. Keep us updated on your next project :)

Hi All

Over the last few days I felt the urge to revisit Video Poker and tried out some new bits and pieces.

a) Revamped the Play Screen
b) Resized and modified the playing cards / card back
c) added a on-screen deck
d) Animated dealing of cards from deck to table
e) Flashing winning hand on the payout table.
f) Animated folding of cards from hand to deck

It's an on-going thing so no release yet.

I have attached a short video loop for your perusal.

If you have played the current Video Poker, would be nice to hear what you think about these changes.

Cheers

Roukan / Jim

Hi Kilo

Nice to hear you play the game quite often :D

The high score table will be the same as it is in the current version (may look different possibly - not got to that part yet).

This will be just a cosmetic update.

Cheers

Hi Kilo

I still have the Intro screen and End Game/Hi Score parts to do and a tiny bit of the main game.

Hopefully should have a .HEX file available over the next few days for you to tryout.

Cheers

Thanks very much Uze.

I planned to do something like this originally but was quite eager to get it released as it was my 1st ever project.

Cheers

well... looks great!
I don't wanna criticize you but the animation looks a little bit slow!
So, for the whole game it could be boring to wait for the dealing cards! :? :?:
