Help!

Topics regarding the Uzebox hardware/AVCore/BaseBoard (i.e: PCB, resistors, connectors, part list, schematics, hardware issues, etc.) should go here.

Ok, I've got a couple new crystals, and an external oscillator on the way. By gosh or by golly, I'm going to make this work!

I'll also try it on a new perfboard, as I've had problems with this type of perfboard before (from China..), though I checked the one I'm using out, and it seemed decent.

What's the "capacitor issue/fix" with the Fuzebox? I've double checked to make sure that all the caps and everything are in their proper place and orientation.

Sadly I won't be able to check things out on a scope again till Tuesday, so I guess I'll be back then!

Ok, well now I feel like a fool.

I resoldered all the connections (re-melted them, really), especially the ground ones. The output signals still weren't perfect on the scope, so I didn't think that fixed anything. Came home and tried it on the TV, and BOOM! Perfect. Like, really perfect image on every TV I could find in my house.

I'm not sure which connection / combination of connections was to blame, but it's gone now.

Thanks so much for all your support, Uze!! You have no idea how appreciated it is! Seriously, getting this kind of help and understanding on things these days is super rare!

Now, on to make the controllers and attach the SD card interface!

 Great! It would be great if you get some time and add something on the WIKI's troubleshooting section regarding your "adventure". :)

Glad that helped...and don't forget to post some pics of your uzebox when you done!

Will definitely do! (When I have free time that is..)

Anyway, here is what it currently looks like running on a portable DVD player:

It's running a matrix screensaver, I made just for you, Uze! More details (and download!) about the screensaver can be found here: http://hamaluik.com/?pageid=36. It could use a lot of improvements to look and work better, but for a quick demo to make sure the video works, it does its job.

Do you think your Matrix screen saver could be modified to use the vram instead the 28x30 array to hold the symbols? Then I could use it in Uzeamp as a cool visualization while the music plays! 8-)

I'll look into it. I've never done such a thing, but with some bitmasking tricks, I think I might get it to work.
