AD725 vs RGB SCART to Composite

Postby lcruz007 » Thu Apr 01, 2010 6:42 am

Hi,

I am considering adding colors to my EES project (http://www.ees.intelsath.com/), but I bought an SCART adapter on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/RGB-Scart-to-Composite-RCA-S-Video-Audio-AV-TVAdapter_W0QQitemZ260508623408QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3ca7862230.

Is the SCART to composite video adapter I bought would work as an AD725??

Thanks.

Hmmm, why would you want to use SCART? Don't you run NTSC in Honduras? However if this device really converts RGB to NTSC composite (note the standard is not mentionned, it could output PAL) is damn cheap compared to a AD725 which sells for ~US10$.

Thanks for your reply,

Yes, that's right. The standard in Honduras is NTSC. The SCART connector was just an option, besides the AD725.
Maybe I should try it, but I guess I will have to consider the AD725 then :)

Have you tried this yet? I would like to try it too because the SCART converter is much cheaper than AD725.
