Great project, that's probably the coolest Uzebox setup in existence. Are you going to route a port in the cabinet so you can flash other games, or do a dedicated pacman machine? Impressive work, keep it up.

Cool, I can't wait to see the finished product.
Just a quick question, which cabinet should this device be dedicated to? (I was thinking maybe a Pacman style cabinet or Nintendo cabinet, or should I find one with lots of buttons on it?) The only cabinets I have right now are Zaxxon, Pacman, and Space Invaders Deluxe.
I vote for Pacman :D

I thought about making some sort of extension cable that goes from the Uzebox to the coin door. So all that's necessary is to open the coin door, plug in the ISP programmer, and program from there.

Well of course  Anyway, if I'm going to be putting this in a Pacman cabinet, the only problem is that the screen will be sideways. Is it possible for you to change the screen orientation on your game?

The game is 224 pixels wide, so a 90 deg rotation should be doable. I would imagine I'd only need to remap the controller inputs, reorient the ghost AI and change a few values in the intermission scenes.

Just to let you know, the monitors in Pacman are flipped 90 degrees clockwise. I'm just saying this so you don't accidentally rotate the game and it ends up being the wrong way

I think my explanations have been a little misleading. The monitor is flipped clockwise. This means that the game should be flipped counter-clockwise. Sorry if I wasn't clear earlier

No, you were clear, I just didn't read it properly ;) So the JAMMA view will be the horizontal flip of the JAMMA view I previously posted.

hey Davey,

I was thinking about getting onto this now, but I'm wondering: If you're only making a single cabinet, would it be possible to mount the screen such that all Uzebox games are supported? I'd rather see a Uzebox JAMMA that supports all games, beyond just Pac-Man. It's your call at the end of the day, but I was just wondering.
