EUzebox simple hardware mods

Post by schepers_cp »

hey all, i was busy modding my euzebox just now, it includes a power switch, so you can manually turn the console on or off fully, and an usb to isp module, all hardwired to the board. :)

so i don't have to worry about power consumption and finding my usb to isp module anymore~ :D

and ofcourse some *ahem* high quality pictures for you x)

thanks all, but since i installed the isp, i have some trouble flashing games... like with the mario demo, it crashes the console when i load a map. :/
so i need an isp enable switch for all wires or something, thinking for an effective way to tackle the problem~

Yeah, I got that some times, The ISP lines are interfering with the Sd card. Never got to look into it.

my temporarily solution is to use relays for the data lines and a tumbler switch to trigger all relays to enable the ISP~ only downside: it doesn't fit into the case anymore XD

also, it might be usefull to have fuses (fast blow ones of 1A) between the 5V rail coming from the 7805 and all other components.
not that i did blow my 7805, but just for those who short-circuited something~ :P
also, expansion boards are a must for DIY people like me, because the euzebox expansion area is waaaay too small~ xD
(like somtething stackable?)

EDIT:

just made a first proto pcb for a quad 5V relay based on this schematic:
