1 sleepless night made me think: "what if i could make the uzebox smaller?"

in which i started developing a uzebox smaller than a creditcard (2 pcb's stacked on eachother)

anyway, here's a pic of it:

now, if there are design errors, please tell me, as i made this in one night with being tired~ :')

It is fairly impossible to tell if there are errors looking at a PCB.

It is much easier to pick up errors in the schematic. Then if there are errors from the schematic to the PCB then the EDA tool will tell you about them.

Easier way to make it smaller is to use a TQFP or DFN packaged ATMEGA644.

Look at Clay Cowgil AVCore to see how small it gets with a TQFP.

Plus in my mind, if you are making a PCB - it is easier to make a PCB for and to solder a TQFP than a giant DIP.

i remade the while thing in eagle 6.5 with improvements like:
better stackable due to dummy headers.
better paths
use of a other sd card holder

both boards measure:
77,5*49,5MM (around 3x2 inches)
and they need to be stacked.

it's possible to let the pcb's be made at iteadstudio, be sure to choose 5x10cm max option to save some costs ;)
note:
i'm a bit too lazy at the moment to assign the values for the components with the pcb's, but looking at the schematic will help that.. xD

see attachment for the project files =)

Yep, hard to beat Clay Cowgill's AVCore on size! :ugeek:
A little marvel I say, sad it's not available anymore...
