what hardware version do I have?

Post by blicken »

How do I tell what hardware version I have?
I noticed my hardware varies from the pictures in my instruction set.
I looked on the board, but did not identify any markings that list a version.

I can post a picture in a little while.

Every version should be labelled in white silkscreen on the PCB itself. By memory, it is on the right edge of the board, and I think you will see something like "Uzebox V1.3" or so.

If you want to know how exactly "Revision F" in the schematics relates to V1.3 on the PCB....I don't know. But V1.3 should electrically match exactly the latest revision schematics. There were never huge differences between versions anyway, and nothing with the SD ever changed.

Interesting...Lee is right, you can find the version the bottom right edge of the PCB. I believe you should have V1.3.1 PCB with the Uzenet interface footprints instead of the MIDI interface (should see a ESP-12 marking). The assembly guide should reflect this around the SD card assembly part (let me know if not). Adafruit sold both this kit version at one time so I decided to not redo all the manual for the moment. But I will eventually do.
