Re: Tempest is possible

So this is meant to replace the "2000" on the normal intro screen, I guess about the same dimensions, with that the fourth colour ("Black") is actually the 1bpp SD streamed layer. So essentially 3 colours + transparency. Do you have limitations on the count of tiles, or using the entire 26 tile x 5 ...

Re: New Game: Circuit Puzzle

Done! Completed all the levels, had seen the success screen! You had quite some ROM left to store those frames! :) (The images probably take up some 2-3 Kbytes I guess unless it is something like 4bpp extracted into RAM tiles) I think it could be okay if the tile was dropped when bringing up the men...

Re: EdUzebox (EuroSCART SMD version)

Huh, that's a nice and compact little board, well done! Using well the size benefit of SMD components, compacting it, and using KiCad is also nice, all the way open source! :) I like the blog post too, even though I don't understand your language, it is clear you did quite some work and research doi...

Re: Tempest is possible

Pass the image & limitations to work with to me! :) I think I could manage to come up with something! ;)

Re: New Game: Circuit Puzzle

Huh, Level 31 actually has at least 3 solutions... Game of course correctly identifies all them! :) EDIT: One thing occurred to me though. Could it be possible to implement a swap when you drop a tile down to an occupied slot? (That is, then the tile on the slot would be picked up if it is possible ...

Re: un1b0x - 2020 EUzebox BOM

I have no idea why Q2, C9, and C10 are there drawn with dashed lines. To me that looks like they should be left unpopulated, but maybe someone else knows why they even appear on the schematic at all. They are certainly meant to provide some alternate clock input, though I don't know what Q2 is supp...

Re: un1b0x - 2020 EUzebox BOM

This also kinda contradicts the Euzebox layout drawing where the 22pf caps have been placed inbetween the crystal and the MCU That one doesn't matter! :) The point is keeping the wires short, where you hook up the caps to it doesn't really make a change. On mine they are behind the crystal since th...

Re: New Game: Circuit Puzzle

It wasn't all for nothing though... Yup, I certainly see that, that's why the game feels so polished, that it indeed acts like electronics as you are moving about the pieces, instantenously reacting proper to the actions! It is actually especially this which makes it feel a little disappointing tha...

Re: un1b0x - 2020 EUzebox BOM

Sorry, didn't visit the board for a few days! Yes, the crystal definitely has to go right next to those pins! The problem is that it is extremely sensitive, the capacitance of those wires may be too much! 22pF is very little! So yes, desolder, and put it right next to those pins! (Like how it is eve...

Re: New Game: Circuit Puzzle

Wow, this is nice, looks and feels very polished! Gave it a go up to Level 34 for now! Really, so far everything to me seems to be working as expected, and intuitively does so, which is great :) The only thing I could raise that so far it feels as if the levels would always have only one solution, w...
