How did I miss this game growing up!?
Got myself a nes mini over the weekend and started playing. Three levels in and I'm hooked.
Looking forward to seeing this materialize on the uzebox someday.

Re: Mario Bros
Ah dude!! Well done :D The animations and physics are so smooth and the game play is nice and challenging. I've only ever played the arcade version of Mario so this is intriguing to me. I love how fluid everything is. I will spend some time tomorrow to play through this and give some proper critical...

Re: Sound Effects for Würgertime
Please describe your process for "fiddling" with music and sfx. Swap out wave forms. Play around with volumes and speed. Generally just hack away at the patches that are there. No real coherent method to it. To be clear, this is for sfx. Not music. I dont know of any real shortcut there. ...

Re: Sound Effects for Würgertime
Here's a page on the Uzebox Wiki with a collection of diverse sound effects http://uzebox.org/wiki/Sound_Patches_and_Effects I also struggle to create sound effects as it's not intuitive for me at all, so what I tend to do is take the example effects on that page and just fiddle with the ones that I...

Re: Game size problem with bootloader.
Yes, you may be right. I've tried more games and found Zooming Secretary has the same problem on this Uzebox. It's Uzebox game loader 0.4.2. Where do I get a working boot loader and how do I flash it with avrdude on Linux? That boot loader is outdated yes. The latest bootloader (v5) is linked at th...
Re: Uzenet
This might come in handy for anyone wishing to develop custom firmware for the ESP8266. It's an open source game engine running on the ESP8266.

I hear you man. I also feel like a kid early Christmas morning waiting for my parents to wake up and open the presents!nicksen782 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 26, 2019 5:14 pm How's it going? I'm looking forward to an Uzebox Portable. I've been working with Uzenet to learn how to use it and the ESP8266. Looking forward to it all!
Re: Uzenet
Also, is there already some demo code for Uzenet that can do HTTP requests? Telnet is really easy of course but I would like to do HTTP GET. The Telnet code was actually only recently introduced in the Uzenet demo by uze. Before that commit, the demo was using HTTP GET commands to ping a web server...
