Re: Making NES Kung-Fu

Are we happy with 5 clocks per pixel 256 pixel wide with black borders?

Remember we now have timer interrupt ended scanlines so that saves time. Also 16 colour (4bpp) means half as many of those nasty lpm instructions.

Re: Tutorial: How to make a game!

A, Isn't a 16 colour mode just going to double your sprites straight away. Maybe its a thing to think about some more as well. B, Hasn't this thread derailed very very badly and be likely to scare any newbies off. Maybe drag this thread to the programming section and restart a "how to make flap...

Re: Uzebox DTV

Good point! Could you also have a permanent cable then? No risks to lose it or plug it in the wrong devices. Possible, but I feel the plug looks/seems neater than a captive cable. I need one of those, looks great with the one plug. What's the plan on SD? The micro SD goes just to the right of the A...

Re: Uzebox DTV

Could fit a LiPo in there but two reasons I decided against 1, I was building these mainly as a give away for novices in the comp so I wanted to keep the prices down 2, I wanted to only have the one plug entering the back for neatness The thing NEEDs to have a plug in the back for the AV seeing as i...

Uzebox DTV

I am making some Uzebox DTV units like the one Clay showed off a few years ago. I have just thrown one design away and started again, but I hope this one is ready in the next few days to show off. I have one question. I am making one 4 conductor 3.5mm socket to come out of the back of the SNES contr...

"Game-On" is what I think they say :)

Remind me to have a go at it when I finish Tempest.

Re: Getting back into the swing.

there is a videoMode6.s/h file in the ZIP that you either have to make sure your compiler can find OR just copy it over the old mode6 file in the kernel directory.

What needs to happen is someone has to say

"Gauntlet is way too hard to do for the uzebox. There is no way you could pull that off cunning"
