Re: Sideshow from SD-Card
Hi, Thanks for the response. It's actually not the displaying of the picture that I'm confused about, just how to load a file from the SD-Card. I'm using the 240x224 6x8 character mode and I already have my pictures converted into tile sets ready to be displayed (approx 1200 6x8 tiles). My demo prog...

Sideshow from SD-Card
Hi, I want to display a side show of pictures from a SD-Card. I see there is mention of using the SD-Card here: http://uzebox.org/wiki/index.php?title=Tutorial_5:_Using_the_SD_Card_to_Store_Maps But I can't actually find a link there to download a compilable project. Can anyone post a zip here (or a...

XOR - a new game!
Hi, xor.jpg Here is a new game called XOR. It's a remake of an old 8-bit game made by Astral Software back in 1987 for the BBC Micro, Amstrad CPC, ZX Spectrum etc. The object of the game is to pick up all the masks in the maze. That sounds easy but it can get devilishly difficult on later levels whe...

Re: NTSC Artifacts
It's really a hack, skipping every other pixel columns in the final rendered frame, but it's not too bad. I've attached the last surviving .exe of that version based on 1.15 if anyone wants to use it. Thanks for that - it works really well - looks really nice - one little thing - I actually recompi...

Re: And idea for the Uzebox SD Gameloader
That's an excellent idea.
There's a couple of games I've thought about that use too many tiles overall but would work great split up over levels.

Re: NTSC Artifacts
Stella the Atari 2600 emulator has some nice TV effects: http://www.bogost.com/games/a_television_simulator.shtml I think the UZE emulator is brilliant and very useful but the two main annoyances I have with it is 1) the aspect ratio is wrong. 2) It's slow. So if anyone can fix either of those it wo...
