Re: Weber's Rants (tutorials)
(Though not sure if I understand your description right, whether the original megatile layout is kept in ROM for use when it aligns, or you intended to use only the partitioned version. If the latter, then that's pretty much equivalent to Flight of a Dragon's approach in concept). Ok this saves fla...

Re: Weber's Rants (tutorials)
But yes on second thought you are right, since I did no compression on the offset table as cycles are already an issue....why not store everything as an offset and make use of all those bits. Doing it the way I am is still holding on to some legacy mentality(well it is easier to let gconvert make th...

Re: Weber's Rants (tutorials)
Ah yes this does imply a "frame table" with 0 being no sprite, and each frame being 5x5. I now find using your -DSPRITES_AUTO_PROCESS=0 a good general purpose technique, so for this saving the RAM and cycles involved with the intermediate representation of a sprite. Basically part of an ob...

Re: Lightgun Ideas
After improving the test more, this thing without even a lens is surprisingly accurate. Also it's curious that the portable display I initially tried, only randomly ever gets detected. It's strange because I can get 100% detection(no lense, close up) on the following items: blue LED, mouse "las...

Re: Weber's Rants (tutorials)
I presumed you wouldn't mind me posting that video in your rants topic as it seemed like he could've been making it as content for you. It was all but missing the DA dedication! Oh yeah, that is my type of stuff. I couldn't explain it logically, but I'm a die hard Saturn fan still. Actually I saw a...

Re: Lightgun Ideas
Suspected it was triggering but just so fast I didn't notice a blip to 1, so I made it turn the Uzebox LED off for 60 frames any time it read an (inverted)light sense bit. Also suspected this tiny car headrest monitor I was testing on was the issue. Well BAM is was the portable monitor at fault! It ...

Re: Hyperkin SNES mouse issues
Yeah I shouldn't have hacked it so hastily, give me a bit and I'll make a better one. If you can get past the logo...well just unplug the mouse temporarily and plug when it gets past that. You should see the numbers right after clicking Uzebox, not 5 minutes. Just that after that there will be no ac...

Re: Lightgun Ideas
Initial tests seem somewhat promising, but also not. I haven't tried the Tommee gun yet, but the other gun I have possibly has a filter on the detector. Trigger works as expected, it's the same as the Tommee which is inverted from the Zapper. This works in games, since the zapper does a 0-1-0 sequen...

Re: Hyperkin SNES mouse issues
I guess I didn't try P2 port haha, but there must be some software reason P2 isn't working there. Glad your Hyperkin is alive and kicking! Well define "work", I guess I actually had to nudge around(or plug the mouse in afterwards) to get past the uzebox click section I was too lazy to omit...
