Re: Uzebox Sprite Engine (Beta2) - Updated

I ordered the parts, another UZEbox will be entering the world soon :D Now I'll have to think about that SNES stuff, I might just make my own cheap kind(sticking wires into the controller connector  ) I do have a SNES, but I would never take anything out of that, it's in too good condition ...

Re: Uzebox Sprite Engine (Beta2) - Updated

Awesome!

Once I build my UZEbox, I'll try this out for a spin.

A question, since you said SNES joysticks are the baseline controllers, where can I find connectors to place on the PCB?

Re: The Zapper

That "tink" when you pull the Zapper trigger just drives me crazy. ;-) You're absolutely right, though you don't need to pull the trigger all the way to have the button make contact. Every time I pull the trigger on mine, I'm always worried that it will break  I've been looking at so...

The Zapper

Has anyone here experimented with the Nintendo Zapper? I was just curious, because I was going to try some stuff on the UZEbox with my zapper(I still haven't built my UZEbox yet, I'm quite busy, still didn't even order the parts! xD). Anyway, this thought just came to me and I just wanted to see if ...

Re: Understanding

That makes it a lot more clear. But one of the reasons I was curious was because I wanted to see if I could connect the Uzebox to a VGA monitor. If I was able to take the sync and RGB pins and connect them straight to the VGA connect, though it might not work, I'm not entirely sure.

Understanding

I'm having a little bit of trouble understanding how the hardware works in the UZEbox. On the home page of the site, it says that the speed is 28.61818Mhz (Overclocked). Why is it clocked at this rate? Why not a solid 30Mhz? Another thing is how the video is generated, how does the R-2R ladder work ...

Quick summary of what has changed.

Hello, as you can probably see I am new to this forum. This UZEbox device interests me. After viewing some posts, I can see that changes have been made to the UZEbox. I am quite busy currently and don't have time to read all of the posts. Now I'm not saying I'm lazy, it's just that I might build mys...
