Re: Namco's Assault

I expect that CF's RLE video mode is nothing a beginner should be toying with, not in the least because nobody has written a full game with it yet. I was toying with the idea of trying to use CF's vector mode but I ran off when he described his process for drawing a vector object / sprite. I'm not s...

Re: Is Uzebox the most elite console platform?

That's two out of two so far, 100% agreement that the Uzebox is the most elite console platform.

Only one open source, physical console has had any notable success so far. That alone makes it elite I say.

Re: Hyperkin SNES mouse issues

I realise that the aim (I think?) of your mouse timer was to NOT move the mouse but SHOULD it move when I move the mouse? I presumed that the cursor should move when I move the mouse. Under the patched solitaire, the cursor is movable both on the title screen and during the game on port 1. With mous...

Mighty Street Fighter

Some of you may recall Mighty Final Fight for the NES. A team of Amstrad fans have borrowed that concept and art style and are doing a fantastic job of recreating SF2 for Mr Sugar's 8 bit machines with miniature "chibi" style sprites. A preview video has been uploaded and it looks great: h...

Re: Clone SNES joypad compatibility

AliExpress have shipped my pads and the converter. I should have them by the 17th April. Hopefully they'll still have some of the pads left by the time I get mine. They only have 35 of the presumed Uzebox compatible SNES controllers left, unless someone can find another seller. I've just noticed now...

Re: Hyperkin SNES mouse issues

Ignore all the things above! We live in a time when there will be dead mice and rumours of dead mice. My hyperkin is just fine, I'm pretty sure. I'm not sending it back now, no need to check the warranty yet. My mouse does work under the solitaire build but only under port 1 so I have to do a contro...

Re: Uzebox Bootloader V5

With the current (5.0.12) version of the bootloader, if you have a Hyperkin mouse attached to port 1, both L and R mouse clicks seem to get ack'd by the bootloader with a beep but nothing happens. I would like a left mouse click to be the same as pushing START ie load the currently selected .uze fil...

Re: Hyperkin SNES mouse issues

How disappointing! You can ignore my last couple of posts DA, it seems my Hyperkin mouse has died on me already. I deleted your mouse timer off my SD card and re-installed the Solitaire build from this topic that has been patched to support the Hyperkin mice only to find my mouse was no longer worki...

Re: Lightgun Ideas

There is an Arduino project which turns an SNES pad into a USB device! You missed my topic about that then? https://uzebox.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=34514 This topic is linked on the wiki under the Hardware section of the main page. EDIT I just re-read the comments and you did see that topic at th...

Re: Hyperkin SNES mouse issues

Is it stuck on the intro or did it make it to the binary display? Once it gets to the binary display the only visible changes on screen will be the numbers. If it doesn't make it to that, try the previous version which has looser timing(just give it power after you set the mouse in a secure locatio...
