Re: Uzebox 3D printed enclosure!
I printed another Cover_50u_clear.3mf today. 50u seems a pretty good fit for the logo in the repo, its fits quite nicely but the logo usually falls out when I turn it upside down using 50u. I would like it to be held in place a bit more tightly. I'll have to print another 25u now to see if thats as ...

Re: Insane Contraption
The only other retro DIY computer I've seriously considered building and the only other one that I find interesting that is all through hole, is the Otter X16 Commander X16 clone but they don't seem to be available any more. They were about $250 so its about as much as I'd be willing to spend on a n...

Re: Peripheral Tester
on real hardware I could see users plugging in 2 mice(or N64 controllers). It would be sad if this wasn't possible in emulation. I think we'll struggle emulating two mice. A quick search kinda concludes that ain't gonna fly realistically. Two mice supposedly kinda works under Linux GNOME X11 but I'...

Re: Uzebox Ω - easier to build, SCART friendly Uzebox
Thorsten has almost finished the new Omega PCB revision. I've asked him to make a couple more minor changes. I expect he'll be up loading it and I'll be ordered some PCBs within the next week.

uLua
Most of the modern retro computers come with some form of BASIC. That's nice but nobody actually uses BASIC in 2024. If we're going to have some kind of interpreter or REPL for the Uzebox it makes more sense to use a popular language that people actually use today, like Lua: uLua aimed to run Lua sc...

Re: Color Bar Screen Test
I'm sure I could've found a better spot to take these pics and defintely could've used a better camera than my phone but seeing as I may be the only person who owns a normal Uzebox, a Uzebox Omega and a TV that has both s-video and SCART inputs I thought I'd share a couple of pics of this color test...

Re: Peripheral Tester
I never claimed to know anything about SNES mice and the Uzebox but after reading your post I'm now sure I know less about it than I thought a few hours ago. If I understand your previous post enough, you are saying there are now (at least?) two separate mouse drivers for the Uzebox, one in the kern...

Re: Chickens In Choppers
I narrowly stopped myself from posting Winehouse's "Back to Black" when CF posted his fixed Chickens but it turns out that was exactly what I should've posted because the Winehouse movie which is named after that song/album got released in the UK cinemas the day before, on 12th April. Blac...

Re: Clone SNES joypad compatibility
It seems Adafruit are our last hope for Uzebox compatible clone SNES controllers. The only UK Adafruit distributor I could find that sold the SNES pads was Mouser: https://mou.sr/4aOf2kR I say UK distributor but I'm not sure I saved anything going via the mouser site because I've had to pay £12 post...

Re: Hyperkin SNES mouse issues
Those last two pics were took on 2 different TVs but look how much difference there is in that shade of green on the Omega vs a normal Uzebox.
