Re: MMC/SD Card Emulation?
Emulation would be trivial if it was either Windows-specific (and I could just use physical access routines like the first things I posted here late last year) or there was some standard way to "rip" a memory card to a flat file. I'd rather not clutter up the emulator code with a bunch of...

Re: MMC/SD Card Emulation?
Awesome find! That would a great addition to the emulator for sure since I've did lots of work on SD stuff lately and I must have burnt half the rewrites on my mega644. Uze Emulation would be trivial if it was either Windows-specific (and I could just use physical access routines like the first thi...

Re: Emulator build instructions
Hey guys..I am getting an error when I run the g++ -O3 -lSDL avr8.cpp -o uzem part. Here is what I get (also I'm running ubuntu 8.10 and my SDL/gcc have been updated): arlan@arlan-dev:/usr/include$ sudo g++ -O3 -lSDL avr8.cpp -o uzem avr8.cpp: In member function ‘u8 avr8::exec(bool, bool)’: avr8.cp...

Re: XGS AVR "Ultra Demo"
Pretty bizarre resolution choice? 128x96? Well, I guess it makes a certain amount of sense, since you get to keep a decent aspect ratio. Any idea what sort of timings they're using? ie are they scan-doubling and insetting the screen? 8, 9, or 10 cycles per pixel? Also seems like it would be really e...

Re: Help, AVRISP mkII driver support with Windows 7 64-bit
I'll look into the Windows vista 64-bit driver issue thing. For the hard drives, I'm not sure why it is not showing up, I use SATA for both of my drives, they both show up in 7 and XP. Are your SCSI drives attached to the motherboard or a SCSI card? Are you running 64-bit Win 7 and 64-bit XP or wha...

Re: UZEAMP Player!
One last thing, the HEX does not work on the emulator, since there is no SD emulation so far. Any suggestions on how to handle this? On Win32 I know how to get sector-level access to a card, but I have no clue how to do it on other platforms. I presume people would rather use a physical card (or US...

Re: Emulator - get latest release here.
Well I haven't been able to compile it myself, but I've been working with the most recent one in Windows 7, and it uses all my CPU power. It lags a ton at start-up, and then after about a minute or so, speeds up to normal speed. Might there be a memory leak going on somewhere? 32bit or 64bit? I'm r...

Re: Emulator - get latest release here.
I recall trying other optimizations params with no great results. Better stick with what Dave used (that's should be defined inside the VC++ project file). Uze I think he's saying that the prebuilt emulator runs fine on his machine under WinXP (dual boot maybe)? But the linux port is much slower. W...
