Re: Chickens In Choppers

I could just put the source to one of my games in. BAM, no need to worry about having the messiest source anymore

Pretty sure when I sit down and multimeter the cable things will make sense.

Re: Tempest is possible

That is crazy, maybe the chroma dots interact with the mask or something. Wild to see roughly the right colors in that shot.

Re: Uzebox Ω - easier to build, SCART friendly Uzebox

Might have to take you up on that, I do love that copper color. Well the one cable I'm pretty sure worked with Genesis 2(which AFAIK is the same as MegaDrive). I'm double checking the Omega with a multimeter...there is just not much to go wrong but maybe I screwed something up. Possible this cable d...

Re: Uzebox Ω - easier to build, SCART friendly Uzebox

I tried with and without the solder bridge is the weird part. Multimetering the SCART didn't seem fun at the time so I skipped that  I guess I'll double check fuses but I swapped the chip for a known working one(from another Uzebox...I have a few around!). The one programmed in the Omega worke...

Re: Uzebox Ω - easier to build, SCART friendly Uzebox

Still no video testing 2 different cables(which I suspect are the same wiring). Will have to dig deeper,of course it's probably somethimg stupid in the end. Good thing is that means my OSSC could still be good. The device appears the same thing I got E/Uzebox working on so I'm sure I'll get it once ...

Re: Weber's Rants (tutorials)

(Though not sure if I understand your description right, whether the original megatile layout is kept in ROM for use when it aligns, or you intended to use only the partitioned version. If the latter, then that's pretty much equivalent to Flight of a Dragon's approach in concept). Ok this saves fla...

Re: Weber's Rants (tutorials)

But yes on second thought you are right, since I did no compression on the offset table as cycles are already an issue....why not store everything as an offset and make use of all those bits. Doing it the way I am is still holding on to some legacy mentality(well it is easier to let gconvert make th...

Re: Weber's Rants (tutorials)

Ah yes this does imply a "frame table" with 0 being no sprite, and each frame being 5x5. I now find using your -DSPRITES_AUTO_PROCESS=0 a good general purpose technique, so for this saving the RAM and cycles involved with the intermediate representation of a sprite. Basically part of an ob...

Re: Lightgun Ideas

After improving the test more, this thing without even a lens is surprisingly accurate. Also it's curious that the portable display I initially tried, only randomly ever gets detected. It's strange because I can get 100% detection(no lense, close up) on the following items: blue LED, mouse "las...
