Re: Uzenet
I read through the code you posted and it's almost spooky how similar it was to what I wrote a while back for Ghosty Ghost. Same exact general idea (simple script that runs at vsync) same step-substep methods, the breakdown of steps and their order was even about the same. The part that I got hung u...

Re: Solitaire
Glad to see this finally released into the wild after reading about it on the wiki and seeing references to it in the Uzenet discussions. Can't test it right now but I will as soon as I get an opportunity. Really nice to have another simple classic game available for the system. I think adding some ...

Re: Spinner controller (Rotary encoder)
Awesome. In addition to the rotary encoder taking the place of the d-pad, will the normal remaining buttons be used? Most games that would benefit from the encoder also use a limited number of buttons.

Re: The quest to a portable Uzebox
We do have an unused player 2 controller port compared to the normal Uzebox and there was that whole uzelink idea a while ago if I'm not mistaken. For me personally, using a cable is outdated but it definitely brings back memories of linking up 2 of the old brick gameboys for a pokemon battle as a k...

Re: Ghosty Ghost
Added a new download to the main post for version 1.0. I did some minor touch ups and slimmed it down a bit by taking out the online uzenet related code and all associated menus. Also stripped out a few extra sound patches that weren't being used. The github source has been branched into local only ...

Re: Bomber
Nice work. My highest score right now is 979. Love how crisp it looks in black and white. The new home screen looks nice. Would love for it to have a high scores table and some nice sound effects & music.

Re: Ghosty Ghost
It's effectively done for local play. I've been giving the menus some thought recently, particularly how sound is controlled and the option to select between NES and SNES controller layout, and an option to reset eeprom scores. I plan on making a few tweaks and maybe even adding some easter eggs for...

Re: Uzebox DTV on Kickstarter
Will this one have the cutout in the back with the extension header poking through? Because I vote no to that (the opening in the controller bothers me somehow), but yes to holes in the pcb that allow you to attach the pins yourself if you want. I think the current page looks great, but yes a video ...

Re: AVCore LED Issue
The power source is supposed to be regulated. Never took the multimeter to it in order to test that claim to be honest, might have to tomorrow. Either way it looks like my first smd solder job is going to be a green led

Re: AVCore LED Issue
Looks like there's the expected 5 volts being applied to the led during operation. I think the LED is just kaput. Checking in one direction yields 2k ohm resistance (as expected) and the other reads a bit over 1k. It also just BARELY lights up in that direction. Not really sure what I did to it but ...
