Re: New Game: Zooming Secretary

Re: 30 years of Doom!
Yeah, what an amazing game. Although the graphics and frenetic action blew me away, the music is one of the most memorable aspect I remember to this day. Oh and making doom WADs of course.

Re: Hyperkin SNES mouse issues
Some gentleman on nesdev.org seems to have found a solution to this issue . As many, I implemented the read code based on the official mouse specs. But apparently Hyperkin implemented the timing based on how Mario Paint was actually polling the mouse (and hence every other game following it that pro...

Re: Uzebox Ω - easier to build, SCART friendly Uzebox
Great work on the Uzebox Ω, quite some challenges and progress in just over a month! The Omega v1.1 PCBs arrived today at the same time as the (4 pairs of) SNES connectors - great timing! Uze also included a Uzebox 1.1 PCB with a AD725 attached. Thanks Uze! That was fast this time! For the 1.1 PCB, ...

Re: Uzenet adapter V2
Personally, I can't really see uses for the ESP GPIO pins at this time specially since we still have some free pins on the atme644 including two ADC pins.

Re: Arduino music player - Uzebox sound card?
Like many here, I'll side with Thorsten in that all these things would only make the Uzebox more complex for not much value. What I particularly avoid vigorously is to add anything with a processor that we have to custom code/reprogram. More code to develop, more things to keep in sync, etc. This co...

Re: Uzebox 3D printed enclosure!
What a shame to melt such a nice case, probably grinding where the button touches the switch;s actuator would have been easier? Anyhow, I though I may have used a taller switch lately, but no. The one in the current BOM has the exact specs as the one I use since day one. So I don't get it, perhaps t...

Re: Official Uzebox Bill of Material (Oct 2023)
Digikey part number 2057-BHR-06-HUA-ND looks like it could be a better choice of right angled ISP header: The direct 90 deg replacement for the one in the bom would be 609-2846-ND (same color, gold plated). But the one you found matches the same mechanical dimension and is much cheap. I have replac...

Re: Run time off a 9V battery
For what it's worth, I had made current measurement when I made the portable to get an idea of the LiPo battery duration. Nothing extensive or very precise. Megatris playing: 91mA Uzesnakes title(white background): 106mA Idle in Uzeamp: 95mA Playing in Uzeamp: 130mA(avg), 135mA(max) SD consumption: ...

Re: Uzebox - highest dev/user ratio of any games console?
If you want to send review units I reckon we should send them with pro-made 3d print service like JLCPCB. They have some neat new materials. If it gets any serious, let me know and I'll have them made and shipped to you.
