Re: Uzebox revolution!

Sure, you can post some comparison shots, but be sure they are both the same hex!

Re: Uzebox revolution!

The problem is this: Initially when I first released the Uzebox, the video engine was generating 522 lines per video frame. Although a far stretch from the standard (525 lines) the image looked great on CRT and even LCD tvs. With the advent of the sprites engine Clay and I noticed that there's was s...

Re: Uzebox revolution!

oddly enough the first 'newengine' looks a little more stable, but basically the same issue occurs I'm wondering...do you have a NES/SNES lying around and do they work well on all your LCD TVs??? Now I'll need your help. What do you know about NTSC superframes? I think that may be the issue here. I...

Re: Uzebox revolution!

Ah yeah, at last! basically I moved the color burst offset stuff to the very first scanline which happens to be offscreen. That and instead of doing the switch each frame I did it each field. Seems to be rock solid now. So after all I may have find the way Nintendo did it!

Re: Uzebox revolution!

Hey Clay, could you give this one a try? If others on the forum could try it too and report any issues on their TV that would be great. It may fix the issue for good (fingers crossed).

Note: the analog distortion when mario jump should be resolved too.

Many thanks
