Re: Team Australia

I vote for Way of the exploding fist. If we get it done in a reasonable time frame, we can do something else after. It looks like it has a very limited palette and only four scenes: http://www.c64-wiki.com/images/9/97/TheWayOfTheExplodingFistSlideshow.gif I don't know how many ram tiles it would nee...

Re: Alter Ego

My vote would go for a beat em up! A Vigilante or double dragon would be terrific for the Uzebox, but I suspect some new video mode would be needed in order to have more ram tiles or sprites. I just looked at the pacman makefile for the first time in a while. . . 16 ram tiles. Donkey Kong is 27, an...

Re: Alter Ego

Hey Paul, cool to see you around! :) But with all of the new Uzebox features (which I'd need to explore first), perhaps Platz can be modified to make Contra possible. LePlatz should also allow for tile editing and automated level compilation (for the most part). Then I think it would be a go-to too...

Re: Alter Ego

Team Australia, formed on Australia Day (Jan. 26). It sounds like a fun idea, but however one slices it, teaming up means I have certain obligations even on a tentative schedule. Not that I intend to go AWOL randomly, but things come up these days that didn't in college (eg I haven't even ...

Re: Uzebox website issues?

I tend to get "Site not available" randomly and more and more often year after year. Anybody else experiences this? I strongly suspect its Godaddy since they host all uzebox.org content. In contrast the main site at belogic.com/uzebox is on a separate host and is never down. I get "T...

Re: Tutorial - How to make Frogs and Flies!

I think the AI is difficult, but I've only played a handful of times and I can come close to beating him. So it's probably in a pretty good spot. I don't think it should be beatable without employing some decent strategy. And I think the stomping and jump timing provides ample opportunity to form a ...

Re: My Garden - Harvest Moon fan game for Uzebox

Harty, that looks like a nice game idea! SimCity for the garden! :) Hmmm, I'm thinking that such sim games could be good for Uzenet. You play changes are commit to the server and others can see the progress and could even alter things... :ugeek: Yes, I like this idea. Even though 4-player death mat...

Uzebox website issues?

I'm getting a lot of 'page not founds' on the Uzebox site/wiki/forum lately. Is it just me?
