I wouldn't let a lack of comments discourage you. Usually these types of threads hum along with the original poster replying to themselves as people lurk and enjoy the progress updates. Also, Pacman won't work with the bootloader - it's too big. I don't know what happens if you try to flash it, but I would expect some kind of space warning.

You'll need to get Pacman Lite for use with the bootloader.
