Re: Bootloader API library with SDHC and FAT32

That might help. But it looks like that can only write a whole sector at a time? Is there some way I could modify that so it can write individual bytes?
(I could be wrong about this, I don't know everything about how SD cards work internally)

Re: Bootloader API library with SDHC and FAT32

Could you possibly add write support to this? I have an idea for a new game but it needs to write to the SD card, and I'd like to use this library if possible.

Re: Uzebox Mode 3 with Scrolling Guide

Wow, this is really cool! :) And good timing too, since I have an idea for a new game that'll use horizontal scrolling. This guide will certainty help!

I never thought of the VRAM as a torus. But that makes sense though since it wraps around.

Nice! Alternating the background color should work as long as you can do it fast enough.

Re: New Game Idea: Tower Defense

Thanks, unfortunately it currently blows the tile limit out the window. For it to fit within the limit and include the UI I want for it as well, each tile needs to be repeated an average of 8 times in that image. And that would only allow for one level. Two big assumptions I made were that I used 1...

Re: Bug in Mixer boost

Jubatian, I hope you have good luck getting your computer replaced. I wonder how reliable a Raspberry Pi 3 would be, even if it were just kept around as a backup computer. I know they have two official resellers listed for Hungary, so maybe you wouldn't have to deal with horrible shipping issues. I...

Re: Sleep - a simple sleep/low power utility

I don't think it is possible, at least not without removing something else. Currently there are 4 instructions (8 bytes) free in the bootloader space (V.5.0.10), and I already invested a lot into minimizing code. 4 instructions?! I knew it was low on space, but I didn't know it was that low...

Re: Sleep - a simple sleep/low power utility

Yeah, that's what I originally wanted to do, but I didn't know how to fit it in the current bootloader and I certainly didn't want to have to use the old bootloader. I guess it is a pretty bad idea to do it this way. I'm going to look around the bootloader code and see if I can squeeze it in somehow...

Sleep - a simple sleep/low power utility

This is a very simple program that puts the Uzebox into a low power state. It uses the ATmega's sleep mode, using an external interrupt to wake it up. I made this because I keep my Uzebox in my TV stand, and it can be inconvenient to reach back to plug it in. And I wanted to see if I could make the ...
