Re: New Features Incubator

I found a website that says they have three models coming soon. The one problem is the pinouts on the controllers may be different between systems. Not all of the Atari systems had the same pinouts. The website it http://www.xgamestation.com/browse_prod ... category=3.

Re: NES Controller replacement

I found a schematic of the NES controller here http://seb.riot.org/nescontr/ . This shows the connection to the 4021 IC. Using this schematic I found a part that seems very similar Digi-Key part CD4021BCN-ND. Using this part I think we could make a exact duplicate of the NES controller. This would a...

Re: New Features Incubator

Obviously someone in china or hong kong is still making those, can we track them down? The Atari/Genesis connector is just a standard 9 pin D-SUB connector nothing special. You could buy them at Digi-Key. I like Ethernet but it is just not as functional. Think of all the 8-bit games that you would ...

Re: Python?

To use Pyton you would have to find a way to use it on the AVR. I am not sure of how to do this right now. A second option would be to convert your code to C you can find more about that here http://www.python.org/doc/faq/general/#can-python-be-compiled-to-machine-code-c-or-some-other-language . Hop...

Re: PCB or stripboard layout

That looks great. Tell us if it works. When we add the other features it would be nice if you could put them in your PCB.

Thanks,

Re: External Memory

I was looking into a bootloader and found a website that has something very similar to what we were looking for. Basically it is an AVR MP3 player. To update the firmware you can put the *.BIN file on the SD card. It will then load and launch the code. I thought this would be a good start. The site ...

Re: UZEBOX Live!??

I just found a website http://tuxgraphics.org they have many web based AVR projects. I was looking at two pages in particular. One page was about creating the AVR interface and the other was about adding a HTTP/TCP interface to the AVR interface. I was thinking about making a similar interface for a...

Re: I want one!

More documentation is in the works. I would recommend just trying to build it. If you run into problems just ask and we will help.

Re: Official parts list

Theoretically you don't need tweezers. They would just help with the placement of the RGB TO NTSC ENCODER IC. As he said this is just what he bought from Digi-Key that means that it may have a few extra parts on it. Please also look at the download with the parts list http://belogic.com/uzebox/files...

15.90 $ and has the complete TCP/IP stack already build in.
That's a great option and it's more affordable. I will defiantly keep this in mind.
