Re: Uzebox Portable Kit Poll

$10 for a printed enclosure is a steal. To manage expectations, this is for a FDM printed case on my Ultimaker 2, not SLS from shapeays! Filament is not that expensive. But maybe with the pad printing that would augment costs a bit. If you want from Shapeways, it's always possible, but from what I ...

Re: Uzebox Portable Kit Poll

Oh, I just realized, the price quoted was for my 'general public' BOM, that is, if one sources everything by itself in qty 1. Bulk buying to make 10+ portables could yield some good economies, specially since I already have plenty of parts for the regular kits. 8-) Will redo my calculations and upda...

Hey guys,

I've uploaded all the design files: http://belogic.com/uzebox/downloads.htm. :) All that is remaining is the assembly guide.

Re: The quest to a portable Uzebox - update!

I looked for pad printing Ink and it seems to be a bit hard to find in small qty online. Found this site https://screenprintsupply.com/shop/tampaplus-tpl-8-oz/. Have an idea of the sku i would need?

Uzebox Portable Kit Poll

The Uzebox Portable is complete! Buying all the parts can be very expensive for just one unit. I'm considering making a small run of kits (or maybe even assembled) for the community members. A base kit would run for around USD 110$ and a kit plus enclosure for USD 120$. Fully assembled would run aro...

Re: The quest to a portable Uzebox - update!

Update! Printed the case and all fits perfectly. So I think I can call it done.   portable2.jpg portable3.jpg Yeah, it's playing the 8bit trip video there, wich I didn't see in years on the Uzebo...pretty cool! Btw, for some reason CUzebox can't play it correctly. I don't...

Re: What retrocomputers/retroconsoles/diy hw do you own?

Ha! As much as I love retro stuff, I looked for a lot of stuff over the years but never commited to anything (much to my chagrin  ). Besides a NES, SNES, Genesis V1 , gameboy original, gameboy color, DS original and DS lite, still have my very first PC, a venerable Tandy 1000. For its time, th...

Re: Uzenet

I missed the bit about the PS2 keyboard. I totally agree it's very useful to have that interface and i used it a lot for the dev of the uzenet stuff. I have the small PCB required to build the interface. PM your address and i will send you one with a attiny Flashed with the required software. The sc...
