The Speakjet uses an other aproach. It synthesizes speech using a vocal tract model replicated by noise and pulse generators and filters. Speech is generated by constantly feeding the generators and filters with parameters. This approach needs alot of calculations, but only very little memory. The S...

Parralax produces a Board based on their self developed 8 Core Propeller Microcontroller, called Hydra. Its a Game development Board too, and uses NES joypad-connectors. I just discovered an PS2 addon 4" TFT Display here in Germany at a Company that has >1000 in stock for 3,75 Euro + Tax !!! (only to resellers) thats 5 US-Dollar :) But the true resolution seems to be very poor, 220x160 pixel, sold as 380x234 pixels ... http://www.mikrocontroller.net/attachment/...
