Re: Main uzebox repo broken and unmaintained

I fixed the compile error in uzem when using GCC 12, and pushed it to the main repo. I also verified that uzem compiles and runs properly when built with GCC 12, but it doesn't look like avr-gdb is available on Manjaro ARM, so I tested the remote debugging support using the version of avr-gcc on Deb...

Re: gconvert png converter, utracker

You only have to setup the Uzebox color palette once in GIMP, and then you can just convert the image to indexed, select the palette, and you should be good. I demonstrate how to do it in part 2 of my video tutorial here (Jump to 7:10 to get right to the palette part): https://youtu.be/SRUv9T9vyQ4?l...

Re: Gametank

Looks pretty cool. I still have my original 128K Apple //e with monochrome monitor. With proper tooling that's no doubt available to me today (not sure what) I often wonder what I would be able to create for that.

Re: New Game: Bugz

A while back there was a Tool Assisted Speedrun contest that used the two player version of Bugz: https://tasvideos.org/Forum/Topics/22070 That thread is a great read, and I'm honored that they used my game for speed running. In the end, they took the fastest segments from each of the teams and comp...

Re: UART support

A while back I had asked Jubatian if he wanted to add whisper console support to cuzebox, but I don't think he wanted to, but you have it working, so that's great!

Re: Main uzebox repo broken and unmaintained

I believe I still have write permissions to the Uzebox repo. I've just been out of the loop for a while, focusing on other things, but CunningFellow has been slowly pulling me back into things, and I've been thinking about making another Uzebox game.

Re: Mode 3 font hello world

I don't think I've ever used the Print() function ever. Space is usually so tight that I only include the letters and symbols that I use, and most of the time I can get away by displaying text using RAM tiles, which are highly compressed, and can be re-colored on the fly. Here is a post on it, if yo...
