Re: 3D printable SNES connector
Steel pins is probably a bad choice. You probably want something nickle/phospor/gold/magic coating the outside.

Re: IKD - Atari Combat remake
Listen to it with a speaker/amp that is not part of a TV. Just make sure it is not some frequency response thing in the TV. I can't remember if the Audio in TV TX is pre/de-emphasised but there is a chance a low cost TV build might have that built into the final output rather than at the demodulatio...

How about just "greatest number of active developers" or "most new games per year"

Re: Uzebox DTV
The shell/Case is a generic cheap SNES controller off aliexpress. I have bought them from 5 random vendors and they all fit OK. The case has to be modified to fit the TRRS, microSD and the ISP header (if you solder one on) The modification is shown in this thread on post #4 and #14 When I made 100 o...

Re: Uzebox DTV
Have just been updating the UzeDTV to be a KiCAD7 project rather than gEDA
Almost complete. Will post a zip of the kiCAD project when complete as I think it is a lot more accessible than gEDA/PCB previously posted.
Plus KiCAD gives you nice 3D renders

Re: Chickens In Choppers
T2K was upgraded to use Jubatians bootloader SD access BIOS.
That would probably account for the difference.
I'll upgrade CiC to also use the new method and while I am at it I will see if I can fix the problem/bug with tanks hiding behind static objects.

Very keen to see what awesome stuff he can do.
Welcome Jim.

Re: Uzebox Bootloader V5
That was one of the ideas I thought of for doing a bootloader. Do the critical stuff in flash then have a tiny VM take up the rest of the space running programs off the SD card. The boot loader is then infinitely extendable. You could even do silly things like have a game of snake run in the VM. I c...

Re: Tempest is possible
Thanks, Yes - It is 128 blank RAM tiles allocated as needed and then lines drawn on top of them. Speed is helped by the fact that a flag can be set to clear VRAM/RAMTiles during the extended front/back porch in VBlank time. 256 pixels by 5clocks per pixel is only 1280 clocks (with extra wide black b...
