Re: UCC2018 -- Uzebox 10th anniversary edition

It's still going on for UCC2018, don't worry. I'm working on the details (pub etc) and Rocifer joined in to produce the artwork for the compo (Thanks! :D ). As soon as we both complete, the compo will launch!

Re: UCC2018 -- Uzebox 10th anniversary edition

I think the reason why I can't change my vote is because the poll ended on Mar 12.
You are so right, I didn't notice that parameter. Extended it for 90 days. Hopefully that should work now!

Re: UCC2018 -- Uzebox 10th anniversary edition

Awesome, is there a way for me to change my answer from maybe to yes?
Yes, you should be able to recast your vote, I have enabled that option for the poll...

Re: UCC2018 -- Uzebox 10th anniversary edition

I've been watching this thread for a while. The poll is not terrible as I would have expected at least 10 firm entries. But from what I can read, you guys would still like to do it so, eh let's do it!! I'll make the updates to the forums and main site and throw in a couple bucks for publicity on soc...

Re: your future plans?

Finish my portable Uzebox. God dammit, it's been over 3 years I started that thing! But quite frankly, I'm having fun right now...I've moved out of my old 3DS max version to 360 Fusion and it's night and day. If anybody here wants to get into 3D modeling it's the thing you have to go for. It'...

Re: UCC2018 -- Uzebox 10th anniversary edition

Well, if there's at least 10 interested participans and Lee enters...I will have no choice to join in! :P I didn't do a game in years or even code at all in a while so I miss that. Don't know yet what game or style though...

Re: New Games and Genres for 2018!?

I love the beat em up genre, always wanted to see something like double dragon or renegade. I tough also of pinball game like Pinball Fantasies ...not too hard to code I would guess. A driving game a la RC pro am would be super cool plus I still have a special sound engine I made a long time ago for...

UCC2018 -- Uzebox 10th anniversary edition

As you may or may not know, the Uzebox was originally launched in August 2008. Yes it's been 10 years already! Things have change a lot since then. Originally, it was only a wirewrap prototype, it had only one game (Megatris), no SD card interface, no game loader and no emulator. A community quickly...

Re: New bootloader

That "click" was a dirty hack, however I could discover a more elaborate dirty hack to get something milder in the same ROM space: https://github.com/Jubatian/uzebox/tree/boot5010 Check it out, if you agree that it is more pleasant, I will merge this. Beautiful, I love the sound of it! I'm making a...
