Re: New bootloader

I have finally have a chance to install and play with your bootloader. I have to say I'm quite impressed and happy about it. :) Moreover it can read without issues a batch of cheap cards I've received and that totally fails to init with the current bootloader. So I will be testing it thoroughly and ...

Re: Is it a projector? A Video player??

It's funny because I'm only 14 and I know what most of the old retro consoles are. 8-) Pretty cool you say that! It's always been my goal with the Uzebox to make it easy and fun to learn microcontrollers, whatever the age group. Passionate minds gravitates together to help each other and that's alw...

Re: New bootloader

Totally with Artcfox on this. All Uzeboxes kits I know of: mines, Harty's, Adafruit's, Sparkfun's, ITead's, and Uzebox Jamma's... all used regular SD. So don't bother about MMC please. Drop all support for it if it saves code space or anything, it's totally irrelevant nowadays!

Re: All I want to say...

Thanks man, really love to hear that! So many hours was put in this project from so many talented and creative peoples, sometime it just blows my mind. :P Still going strong after almost 10 years is a feat in itself and we can all be proud of it. And with the new video modes and work by Jubatian on ...

Re: New Game: Zooming Secretary

I will check, but I think a 0 seeded PRNG in the current code will continually output 0, I think you just confirmed that in your post Yeah, zero is the only value invalid in LFSRs (at least the type used in the Uzebox kernel). BTW is this on hardware or emulator too? Been happening my hardware...th...

Re: New bootloader

that way, if the Uzebox does somehow brick itself, you know they still have an ISP available to fix it. Sorry, I didn't express myself well, I meant burning the chip (i.e. exceed the 10K flash limit). Yeah, that's true. But IMHO having SDHC and fragmentation support is important. Agreed. But think ...

Re: Demo makefiles

Well, I can see that:

Code: Select all

size: ${TARGET}
	@echo
	@avr-size -C --mcu=${MCU} ${TARGET}
Still gives the same results on windows/WinAVR. So if other confirms it works other plartform I can update all the demos.

Although I noticed there's a typo on number 3 in the word footprint:
Ha! Nice catch, fixed it, thanks. :)
