Re: Best buy pcb

I concur with jlcpcb, they are trying to get in the market and are really competitive. Look at the PCBs from my portable thread, quality is flawless, their site it very easy to use, and the price is ridiculously low. I don't throw flowers easily, but they merit all of it.

Uzenet default parameters

Following the main Uzenet thread, I wanted to discuss what you guys think of default settings for the 8266 when it is enabled or resetted (the settings stored in flash). See https://www.espressif.com/sites/default/files/documentation/4A-ESP8266_AT_Instruction_Set__EN.pdf . So the default settings wo...

Re: The quest to a portable Uzebox - update!

Using an FTDI header is a great idea if that is how the ESP will be updated. So, that means the rx/tx are connected to the ESP and not the ATMEGA644, right? Or do I misunderstand? Rx/tx are connected to both in fact. But when using the setup tool, the 644 pin will be set to input/high impedance so ...

Re: CUzeBox - The new official Uzebox emulator

Thanks for the explanations. Pretty nifty and useful, specially those timing blue bars. Got used to them very fast and could not live without them now. 8-) Fixing timing with the avr simulator was such a chore in retrospect!

Re: The quest to a portable Uzebox - update!

No worries, I will publish the full Bom soon, nothing changed much since last time, only the volume pot. Yes the two sockets are for the SPI ram and lm386. The ftdi footprint is to be able to upgrade the esp8266. I went of a simple approach of breaking out just the rx and tx pins for the ftdi cable....

Re: The quest to a portable Uzebox - update!

Finally got to assemble one of the new PCBs and tested the esp8266 and all work perfectly. All is left is to assemble the remaining audio and powerboost part and I'll be ready to take "orders". :D

Btw, I tested the esp-12f and it works just fine.
